Vandalism at an Orthodox site in Albania

January 3, 2015. Unknown persons destroyed a cross in a small Orthodox site in Himara (Albania) reports Romfea. This place is dedicated to the dead persons who lost their life in 1990. Vandals destroyed also the religious monument which was dedicated to Saint Kosmas who passed by this place in 18th century. The monuments were made from strong materials but it wasn’t enough to protect them. This happened after the decision of the Albanian government to unite two regions – one with Muslim population and the other with Orthodox Christians.
