UOC temple of Transfiguration of the Lord was set on fire in Kiev

March 10, 2018. On the night of March 9 to 10, at around 3:00 pm, the attackers smashed the window, poured combustible and set fire to the temple, as reports the press service of the Kiev Metropolitan area.

Police arrived at the scene of crime and started investigation.

Earlier, on the night of 22-23 May 2016, unknown persons attempted to burn the temple of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Intruders entered the church, breaking the front door. They set fire to the temple inside and outside and escaped from the scene of the crime. The fire was seen by the residents of the district, told the rector of the temple and summoned the police. The building of the church survived, although the walls were damaged by fire.
