The memorial cross dismantled in Arkhangelsk

March 1, 2018, in the morning unknown people sawed away the memorial cross near the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky and the metochion of Artem-Verkola Monastery in Arkhangelsk. Сrime scene investigation group arrived shortly after and discovered the evidence of deliberate damage to the cross. Legal proceedings for vandalism were initiated. The police is currently searching for criminals. In 2012 two minors had already sawed the memorial cross due to vandalic motives.
