Robbery in an Orthodox church
February 29, 2015. Father Slobodan Djuric, priest of Prizren (Serbia), reported to the Kosovo police on 28th February that the church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary dating from the 17th century, was broken into and ransacked, as the official website of the Raska Prizren diocese reports.
Unknown persons broke the door, took three gold crosses and they scattered the icons. It is also noticed traces of digging at the church, probably in an attempt to find a hidden treasure. The Church of Our Lady is on the list of cultural monuments of great importance.
