Robbery in the Orthodox themple in Bashkiria

August 14, 2018. Bashkir policemen detained a man, suspected of stealing donations from church boxes in a temple in Tuymazy, as reports regional press service of the Ministry of the Interior.

The priest of the church appealed to the police with a statement about the theft of more than 11,000 RUR from boxes for donations. The suspect in the crime is set the same day.

According to preliminary data, a 23-year-old local resident, previously convicted of robbery. In the evening he broke the lock of the entrance door, got inside, took the money and left, the report said.

A criminal case was opened against a man under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of Russia (theft). The suspect pleaded guilty to committing a crime. In respect of him, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place.

Some of the stolen money was seized, the rest of the man managed to spend.
