Orthodox temple of St. Elijah in Petrozavodsk vandalized
December 5, 2018. On the night of 4 to 5 December 2018, at about 5 o’clock in the morning, the vandal broke the railing on the territory of the temple complex in the name of the holy prophet Elijah, and then he smashed windows with stones in the temple and bell tower, the press service of the Karelian diocese reports.
Mischief also broke two boards with the names of the supporters and the builders of the complex. After the burglar alarm was triggered, the man was detained by the police at the scene. This case is currently under investigation.
