It stands on St. Vladimir’s Hill on the banks of the Dnieper River. The sculptor of 4.4-meter statue is Pyotr Klodt, 16-meter pedestal – Alexander Ton, bas-reliefs – Vasily Demuth-Malinovsky. Every year in late June the church-public celebration of Baptism of Kievan Rus is held at the monument.
