The Kiev Council’s discriminatory decision on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

February 9, 2015. Representative of the Russian Church in Strasbourg Hegumen Philip (Ryabykh) urges to not allow new persecutions of Orthodox Christians similar to those of the Soviet times, reports Interfax agency. As was reported, late in January the Kiev Council excluded the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the list of religious organizations that have privileges when paying real estate tax.

Arson attack on an Orthodox church in Kiev

January 21, 2015. An attempt to set fire in the church dedicated to the icon of Mother of God called “Joy of All Who Sorrow” of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarcate) took place in the National historical memorial reserve “Babi Yar” in Shevchenko district of Kiev, as reports UNIAN-Religion.
