Arson of an Orthodox church in Novo Sarajevo
August 21, 2016. In the night between 20 and 21 August 2016 an unknown person, or more of them, attempted to ignite an Orhthodox church of Transfiguration of Lord in Novo Sarajevo, as reports Metropolis of Dabar-Bosna press service.
On his arrival to the Temple of Transfiguration for regular Sunday worship, the elder of the temple Archpriest Stavrophor Čedomir Đelmo immediately called the police and firefighters, who quickly extinguished the fire which already engulfed one room. Material damage is made and the investigation is still ongoing. The fact occured two days aftrer the patronal feast of this temple was held.
