The Report of Russian Jurists on the Legal Recognition of the Value of Life And Human Dignity of a Child at the Stage of Prenatal Development

The website “State and Religion” published the English version of the report “On Legal Bases for Legal Recognition of the Value of Life, Human Dignity, and the Right to Life of a Child at the Stage of Prenatal Development”. The document is prepared by Russian jurists: Ponkin I.V., Yeremyan V.V., KouznetsovM.N., Ponkina A.A., and published in Russian on the 1st July, 2014. This Report has been prepared due to an appeal of the Russian Orthodox Church Representation in Strasbourg. This Report is based on the understanding of the social importance of legal establishment of well-defined legal status of the child at the stage of prenatal development from conception1to birth and the importance of protection of the child at the stage of prenatal development.
