Robbery in an Orthodox Church
February 8, 2016. It is the fourth time in the last two years that the temple of the Holy Prophet Elias in Đevrskama in Dalmatia Diocese (Serbia) is robbed, as the official website of the Serbian Patriarchate reports.
The same perpetrators burgled the temples of St. Joachim and Anne in Bribir and St. George in Dobropoljci. During these invasions they stole a small amount of money, that they found in the temple of the sales of candles and contributions of the faithful to the icons. They damaged seriously the door as they entered by force in the church.
Because of the frequency of those incidents, the Diocese of Dalmatia invites all the believers, to pay attention to their temples and not to allow anyone from any initiative to enter in their shrines.
